Microsoft helps shutdown Rustock; the world’s largest spam network

Today Microsoft dealt a massive blow to the spam industry by taking Rustock, the world’s largest spam network, offline. It is thought that Rustock had over 1 million infected computers in its botnet and accounted for around 39% of worldwide spam last year.
