Congratulations, you are the winner of…..Hello?...Hello? Apple’s contest to find the 10 billionth downloader is finally over and the $10K prize was about to be awarded to the lucky winner. The only glitch was the lucky winner hung up on Eddy Cue, VP of iTunes, thinking he was a telemarketer.

i probably would have too....or might not even have picked it up....i dont even know why people still have landlines anyway....all they are there for these days are for telemarketers...if people want you they can call your cellhphone...

I agree most people don't need landlines anymore but they do come in handy sometimes. I'm terrible about keeping my cell charged and my wife is terrible about keeping the volume on her ringer on. If an emergency situation would come up with one of our friends or family, our land line will probably save the day.

And believe it or not, there are still homes out there that don't have good cell phone service. My dad's house is one of them.

Problem solved. Land lines are much more dependable in my opinion.
