Ars Technica got the chance to ask Intel Executive Vice President Dadi Perlmutter some direct questions about the recent ARM news—the Windows/ARM port and NVIDIA's Project Denver announcement—and his answers are definitely worth sharing. He claimed that the Windows/ARM port could actually be a good news for Intel, and Ars think he has a point.
And, for once, some of what it can do looks genuinely useful.
The blog post reads, “We’re introducing a new WhatsApp app for Windows that loads faster and is built with an interface similar to the app's mobile version.”
Since the middle of February, customers of AMD graphics cards have been reporting situations in which Windows installations were entirely bricked after installing new drivers.
I'll be happy to see the x86 architecture on its way out.
