CES 2011: Bigfoot Killer 2100 coming to Asus and Gigabyte motherboards

Bigfoot Networks has gained more partners to help bring their Killer 2100 network technology to gamers. At CES 2011, Bigfoot announced that the Killer 2100 technology would be integrated into upcoming gaming-oriented PC motherboards from Asus and Gigabyte.

I personally think this is a really neat idea.

I know the Killer NICs are supposed to be better than a normal NIC but mostly on a software level. Does anyone have any good documentation on the Killer NICs?

I know it apparently replaces the windows TCP/IP stack with its own hardware accelerated version.. does that mean in Linux / OSX this would just be a normal GIG-E NIC?
