[H]ardOCP: In June of this year, we reviewed the company's ATH-AD700 open-backed headphones strictly in the scope of PC usage. We had an absolutely excellent listening experience and those headphones earned our gold award. But this particular style of headphones does not favor two things: sound isolation and strong emphasis on bass reproduction. These traits are typical of open backed headphones in general, and are not flaws in any way of the product itself; they are by design.
Audio-Technica has now supplied HardOCP a pair of its ATH-A700 Circumaural Closed-Back Dynamic Headphones and we are going to see what the A700 headphones offer PC users and we will also find out in which areas our experience differs from our first outing with the company's products.
