Bloomberg: "Intel Corp. and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission are nearing an agreement as soon as this week on the agency’s antitrust case against the world’s biggest computer chipmaker, according to two people familiar with the discussions.
The people, who requested anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak about the negotiations, said they didn’t know the details of the emerging agreement.
The two sides have been negotiating since last month to meet a self-imposed July 22 deadline to reach a settlement. If successful, the talks would end a suit the FTC filed in December against Santa Clara, California-based Intel."
Last Friday, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger told CNBC he thinks the chip shortage will last into 2024.
