I had to create an account at Razer just so I could shut off the color-pulsing RGB. The software tool won't work without this intrusion. After about a year, the scroll wheel is literally squeaking, and sometimes will trigger without me touching it. Compare that to my heavily used 16-year-old Logitech MX500, which still works extremely well.
