Here we go again.

"When using Autopilot, drivers are continuously reminded of their responsibility to keep their hands on the wheel and maintain control of the vehicle at all times."

That is unworkable. It runs contrary to human nature. No one can keep focus on mundane events without active participation. People will get distracted, go into a daydream, or whatever, if they are just watching the world go by, as they do in a taxi. If the system is too poor to avoid obstacles as large as a police crossover under certain conditions, then it should alert the driver, and hand manual control back to him (under those conditions).

There was no one in this parked police car, so it was a huge stationary obstacle. The inept piloting system smashed into tons of planted metal and glass for no good reason.

I don't see how anyone could be giving Cobra disagrees on that comment. Don't tell me sites have "tesla fanboys/girls" now that are going to try to deny the faults of A.I. all of a sudden.

There's no excuse for the A.I. to hit a STATIONARY object as big as another car.
