Chrome 66 comes with the ability to automatically block videos with audio enabled from autoplaying.
About time! Hopefully Firefox follows suit.

search for media.autoplay.enabled
set value to false
No more auto play of videos.
I meant enabling blocking by default rather than having the user enable it.
And no more playback of videos at all on some websites, unfortunately. (I tried it, backpedaled.)
