Samsung Galaxy S8: Can We Trust That the Battery Will Not Explode?

Samsung really needs to hit it out of the park with their Samsung Galaxy S8, and initial hands-on reports with the phone have nothing but good things to say about the Korean technology giant’s next flagship. After the disaster that was the Galaxy Note 7, however, can we trust this latest phone to not explode.

Well honestly - I can't trust a new Galaxy until a few thousand have tested it before.

blackblades2574d ago

Sounds like any technology out there.

GOODKylePS2576d ago

If we can, GTAV won't be as funny

zaherdab2575d ago (Edited 2575d ago )

I doubt they would make that same mistake twice... it would be a game over move so they probably tested the battery more than anythin else in the phone

blackblades2574d ago

Agree but still, you never know. Samsung been slippin lately like there tvs been disappointing year after year.

DaGR8JIBRALTAR2574d ago

Not true at all. Samsung had some of the highest rated tvs last year. I just bought a 55in curved ks8500 and its the shit so please stop with the alternate facts.

blackblades2574d ago

Going by rtings reviews this years tvs are good but not better then last year years. Also some of there 2015 tvs are better then 2016 models. You'll think that the models would improve not downgrade. The facts are in the reviews. @DaG

People seem to forget that the battery is not made by Samsung and if you trace it back to the company why did make them for the note you will find most phone manufacturers use their batteries so it could happen to any phone out there.

Stringerbell2575d ago

Its funny you'd imagine that R&D for these phone batteries would be 'top priority extend battery life'. At Samsung its more like 'make sure it doesn't catch fire.'

S2Killinit2575d ago

I cant because they literaaly dont allow Samsong products on planes anymore and I travel.

annoyedgamer2575d ago

Pretty sure the ban is on particular models, not all Samsung products.

specialguest2574d ago

The ban only applies to Note 7 and I travel once a month with my Galaxy S7.

Ben Dover2574d ago

@S2Killinit Given your incredible lack of braincells and extreme stupidity, I think they only say that to you to make you stop travelling.
