My opinion is that I do not enjoy it so far on my laptop. Thus, I am not interested in installing it on my desktop.

I echo your sentiment but I caved in when xbox ganes were announced to come to Win10. Major waste of time and I honestly think 8.1 was better!

Considering Windows 10 runs circles around Windows 7, I have it installed on every machine in the house. New machines moving forward have it installed and so far no one has had any major issues with it. It's faster, light weight, and has a built in assistant, capability with touch, voice, and mouse and keyboard.

Win 10 is a pile of bloatware they will force people with dx12 to upgrade in the end, why the hell they don't remain to a simple interface like people are used since XP??? instead they throw ads in every corner and make the 10 look like a ads panel.

tried it, hated it, went straight back to 8.
the start menu wouldn't work, cortana wouldn't work.

now cortana i could live without, but if the start menu doesn't work that practically renders windows 10 useless.

in fact, the ease with which i could go back to 8 was about the only good thing i have to say about 10.

I ended up disabling cortana because it failed to launch and would screw up the local search. So if I wanted a simple calc app, I'd have to manually go through the menu because the search would hang.

Got a new laptop beginning of the year with 8 installed. Could barely use the laptop, Win10 works well for me. Although for some weird reason, it disabled half of my webcam.

If you have Windows 8, its possible. If you are still on Windows 7? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
