In its current state, its getting a lot of people angry. Just maybe its me / call me crazy but during the dial up days / onset of cable & DSL the Internet was lighthearted at least thats how I saw it. Funny sites like newgrounds, and Ebaums, sound boards, Geocities, the explosions of torrents, no one took anything seriously.
These days trolls are everywhere, people spy on you, data is a commodity, no one has a sense of humor.
And sadly your education and carreer programs are also making it worse... You see more and more people with Masters and Bachelors not finding any work or it's just another shit pay job.
It is doing its worst as much as it can.
Technology has never bred altruism, sadly. The tools don't change the person.
