Chinese PLA soldiers have laser guns

The official PLA Daily December 9th 2015 edition announced that Chinese soldiers are now in possession of laser guns. This was not a counter to the success of Star Wars: Force Awakens, but rather the revelation of new responses to the spread of new technology like unmanned systems.

I would have to wonder how good of a power supply they would have in actual combat –overheating has been a thorn in the side of our experimental laser projects in the past. And how accurate would they be in the heat of the action?

Well I'd imagine as accurate as a beam of light, which is to say nearly infinite within range.

Versus a traditional bullet which is effected by gravity and wind and speed.

Lol How accurate is it? It's like a laser pointer. Those go only straight, they don't bend towards the ground as it gets farther and farther out. So it's SUPER SUPER accurate.

Reading about these kinds of defensive measures always saddens me. It's amazing how easily racism, greed and paranoia can escalate entire groups of people to kill each other to the point where coast lines need to be painted with, "anti genocide", devices.

These Chinese can go to any level!

What if I forget a cable, or an SD card reader? I was too obviously cursed with unreliability to earn a spot at a Stevenote. When Apple unveiled the iPhone, arguably the most important Apple keynote of all time, I was covering a Dell press conference in Las Vegas.
