As 2015 comes to a close, Windows 10 surpasses 200 million installs

Windows 10 has now been installed on over 200 million devices worldwide.

Wow, well looks like MS's big push for Windows 10 really worked well. I wonder how many uninstalls though ;)

HanCilliers3038d ago

Can that thing even be uninstalled :P

BluFish3038d ago

Probably not very many. The best OS from MS in a while.

You can count me in as one of those who went back to windows 7 lucky i just made an image of windows 7 before installing the new spyware/adware/bloatware os, so i was able to rollback when i had enough of W10.

I think there were only like 4 things i liked
-The enhanced windows snap.
-The new hybrid start/metro menu.
-Forget what's it called but the command/notification centre.
-Multiple desktops.

Other than that it was very restrictive compared to windows 7.

I also regretted upgrading to 10 on my laptop from 8.1. Something feels off with 10 and the experience is definitely restrictive compared to previous versions. 7 is still the best IMO but I already love 8.1 now. My next pc will be 8.1, not 10.

200 million.....their power over users is becoming limitless!

freshslicepizza3038d ago

people like free things but it's apparent many also fear change and don't trust windows 10 or microsoft which explains part of the hold up.

Revvin3038d ago

That's an impressive figure, three of those 200 million installs are in my home. I upgraded my laptop first as it came with Windows 8.1 and I hate Windows 8 and quickly went back to Windows 7 on my desktop PC and thought that's where it would stay but I was so impressed with what Microsoft did with Windows 10 I did the upgrade on mine and my wife's desktop.
