It's also worth noting these armed robots aren't meant for heavy combat, it seems they'll have a role in securing the potential bomb site, in cooperation with EODs and recon bots.

I'd rather consider it investing in stopping destruction, we should be more worried about nuclear weapons and other devastating explosives (which these robots are meant to disarm).
