It’s two years old, but the Nexus 5 is still one of our favorite Android phones. Priced at $350, it offered premium features at a budget price. We aren’t sure why it took Google so long, but its successor, the Nexus 5X, is finally here. And like all decent sequels, it’s better than the original in almost every way – except in the two ways that matter most: price and battery life.
Google unveiled a slew of devices at its October 4 event, and two of them are smartphones — the Pixel and Pixel XL. You can pre-order both devices right now (if they’re in stock) and they’ll be available on October 20.

A recent March security over-the-air update may have left fingerprint sensors on Google’s Nexus 5X and 6P a little finicky.
Haven't had any issues. I did boot into recovery and wiped the cache after the update.
The Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X only emerged back in September, so it's likely that we're many months off seeing 2016's Nexus phones, but we're already hearing whispers about who might be making them.
I've been in the market for a new phone for a while now, but boy. Now I can write the Nexus 5X off my list, thank you very much.
