Motorola Mobility to roll out Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update to some of its leading devices.
Motorola's cheapest phone gets an upgrade.
Motorola's entire smartphone lineup is getting a refresh in 2016. Following the new Moto Z and Moto G families, the company has unveiled the Moto E3, an update to its most affordable handset.
Android Police - When I was at Lenovo's Tech World event yesterday, during a press briefing someone asked what Moto Z meant for Moto X. I heard the answer, but I wasn't entirely clear on exactly what was said and hadn't recorded it (my mistake), so I reached out to Motorola via email last night to ask them to comment on the whole X to Z transition. It turns out that there isn't a transition, so much as just a new member of the family: Moto Z is not replacing Moto X, at least not at this time. Motorola's statement follows.
Pocket Lint - Lenovo has announced the Moto G for 2016, an updated handset that sticks to those original G aims - being uncompromisingly affordable - but taking this mid-range darling in a new direction. The Moto G is going big.
