You may have heard all of the rumors and leaked details about the Snapdragon 820. You may have heard details about a 14nm process, or about improvements to the GPU and CPU. But what does this actually mean? I’d like to talk a little about what the Snapdragon 820 will bring to the table in real, visible results, instead of standard spec and performance changes.
It is clearly too soon for a full-on Snapdragon 820 sequel, with Qualcomm instead taking the wraps off a minor Snapdragon 821 upgrade for your Note 7.
A rumor attached to a photo details a 4.3" Xiaomi that will be powered by the Snapdragon 820 chipset. The screen will have 720p resolution, which shouldn't be a problem (wasn't for the Compacts).
Snapdragon 820 is the upgrade to the controversial Snapdragon 810 which was seen as a flop in the eyes of many. The 820 aims to change that by generally being awesome.
The specs revealed on Geekbench were really impressive. Crunchng just hopes the overheating problem found on the 810 isn't present here too.
