Microsoft released the Windows 10 for everyone as a free upgrade program which can be availed within 1 year of this launch — which means you can upgrade your existing Genuine copy of Windows 7 or 8.1 to Windows 10 for free until this period.

Unfortunately, not everyone received the automated update on the launch day.
