Drone flying over forest fire diverts planes, costs US Forest Service $10K

The Lake Fire in California's San Bernadino county has engulfed tens of thousands of acres of national forest, and on Wednesday, three planes carrying flame retardant were prevented from dropping their cargo on the burning forest below due to interference from a private drone.

I like the disagrees, but one basic principle of botany that I remember learning in college is that a lot of flora actually do require fire and heat to expose seeds and germinate. It's a natural part of the life cycle, without forest fires, we wouldn't have all of our forests! Now protecting the people that live near those fires? That's a whole 'nuther level, lol!
