Currently users can use Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 for compatibility Windows 10 test and can reserve their free upgrade. This reservation is required for each computer on which to run the older operating systems and will be upgraded to Windows 10. The app then loads until the publication has the data for the upgrade via Preload down to speed up the actual upgrade process on July 29, 2015. According to the FAQ , the upgrade should then take between 20 minutes and one hour, depending on the performance of the PC.
