The next time you get a scuff or scratch, you might not think slapping some fish skin on it sounds like the best idea, but that’s effectively what a team of researchers from Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine are doing. The team led by Jiao Sun has shown that collagen harvested from fish can be used to accelerate wound healing without many of the complications that come with collagen from other sources.
