NASA to receive more money than it requested for 2015

NASA is poised to see an increased budget for 2015, after the House of Representatives passed a bipartisan spending bill late Thursday. Under the so-called "Cromnibus" bill, the federal space agency's overall budget will rise by 2 percent to $18 billion next year — an increase of $364 million from current levels, and $500 million more than NASA requested in March. I wonder if that's the part of a 4.5 billion CIA funding cut. If so, works for me. Less assasinations, coup d'etats and political destabilizations of allied countries, more sweet photoshopped pictures of space.

It's probably going to go to blowing up more rocket ships since they can't build any correctly.

Speed-Racer3414d ago

Maybe you should go build them if you know more about it.

People have actually died in these accidents.

I'll let you figure it out.

cl19833414d ago

Actually nasa hasn't built their own rockets for years they just supervise and use other companies.

Space really is something America would do well investing in, It is a potential goldmine, it really is the new frontier with many countries and private companies exploring ways to state their claim for a piece of the action.

Whether it be space tourism, moon/ Mars bases or simple exploration now is not the time to let others take the lead.

China have plans for moon operations as well as many other Private businesses around the world, America would be stupid to ignore whats happening.

With all the money and time they spend advertising themselves with cameras and space selfies, that doesn't surprise me. Impressing congressmen with all sorts of superficial things apparently isn't too difficult.
