After finding success with the Mi 3 and the Redmi 1S, Xiaomi has launched its third device in the Indian market, the Redmi Note. The handset will be available starting December 2 on Flipkart, and will be offered in two variants: A 3G dual-SIM version which retails for Rs. 8,999 ($145), and a single-SIM 4G version with Indian-specific LTE bands that costs Rs. 9,999 ($160).
The Redmi Note 7 is going to be released on February 28 in India. Redmi Note 7 Pro was also teased to launch after the Mi 9 in China.
Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 7 under independent Redmi brand featuring 48MP of rear facing camera, SD660 SoC with three variants
Xiaomi proved in the past few years that it is perfectly capable of delivering both high-end handsets and budget phones. The upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will reportedly be a combination of these categories. Namely, it will offer upper mid-range specs, but for an entry-level price.
Clever move by Xiaomi to release a LTE version in a single sim varient only, as this will then not affect the sale of 3G varient.
