iPhone 6 Bendgate – Just How Far Does It Go?

Three degrees, right below where the volume buttons are. That’s how far it goes. This week many iPhone 6 users who kept their brand new iPhone 6 in their pocket found to their dismay that the found has a tendency to, well, bend, when heavy pressure is applied to the corners of the phone. If you have an iPhone 6, please don’t try to test this, as it will only result in irreversible sorrow. Apple has yet to comment on what has been dubbed Bendgate, and whether or not a recall would be issued. A recall would be quite a feat, as earlier this week Apple announced that they have sold over 10 million units.

I can't believe the "geniuses" didn't think of this issue.

badz1493498d ago

I think they did but just didn't care or time was up for them to submit the final design for production and they submitted it anyway.

cheap PoS sold at a premium! I think Apple will use their money power to avoid any form of recall just like how MS used money to avoid recall for the 360 over RRoD.

I can't read "Bendgate" without first misreading it as "Bengay"

Sometimes Apple loses sight of what they think consumers want versus what we really want.

I was on the fence about the Iphone8 or the new Samsung but that new Galaxy is looking damn good right now... peace apple!

This is more Apple BS. When Apple launches a phone, they try to get as much sales as possible, even at the expense of their own customer base. A new iphone is released and suddenly your phone starts working like crap, obviously it makes the new iphone more appealing. They've been doing this since the original iphone. Funny how this isn't a problem for any other phone manufacturer.

I think it's more that continually evolving software updates bloat and eventually render the device sluggish. New code is written to take advantage of new hardware, at the expense of owners of the older models.

KingPin2315d ago

so then why even bother updating the older hardware if thats the case. i mean, its not like the older OS is not safe or unstable so why the need to update it. everything works just fine as is. ever heard if it aint broke.....

Corporation are for themself. Time for decentralization!
