The problem Apple is facing is that "Beats" is hardware... not a "service or channel" which makes it profitable. It doesn't matter what type of music you prefer. Whether it's classical, heavy metal, or whatever... Whatever sound comes from those speakers... You want the best quality sound! That's it.
uhhh.... You do realize that Beats has a streaming service, don't you? This is what the Iovine connection is all about.
I think pretty much everyone figured they would shut it down. What purpose does it actually serve?
They may not do it now, it may take until next year, but really, it doesn't make money. If Apple didn't acquire Beats, the music service end of Beats would STILL have eventually died.
