ASRock has made a top level entry after the announcement of ASRock X99 Extreme 11 Flagship Motherboard. It seems like ASRock is taking more interest in Intel new X99 Chipset. The ASRock X99 Extreme features 18 SATA III ports and comes with active cooling.

WHAT?! Please, someone explain why you'd need 18 SATA III ports... I mean, it can't hurt, but, this seems so over the top. Could you plug in 10 120 GB SSDs to the 10 direct powered SATA III's and have them be RAIDED into a striped TB? Something like that would be neat.
Just trying to figure out the most practical use for that many ports.
Everything else sounds awesome.
