Windows devices are getting even cheaper as the race to the bottom continues

Microsoft’s Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Tuner announced today at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference, that he expects consumers could see a Windows tablet priced as low as $99 this fall. However, this $99 tablet would have a smaller form factor - 7-inches, presumably. In addition, Microsoft also expects notebooks as low as $199 to be available this autumn. This gives Microsoft the ability to compete toe-to -toe with Android tablets, and Chromebooks.
