Facebook has announced FB Newswire today, a resource that aims to help journalists find, share and embed newsworthy content on the social network in any stories they produce.
The platform is powered by social media news agency Storyful, which was acquired by News Corp late last year.
The FB Newswire platform aggregates content shared publicly on Facebook, which includes photos, videos and status updates from people who are witnessing major events live, typically in protests, elections or even during natural disasters.
