Facebook, the company that makes billions from connecting people to each other, is about to make it harder to have a conversation. In the coming weeks, Facebook’s mobile app will be losing its chat feature, a move that will no doubt annoy many regular users. But the gutting likely won’t end there. According to many Facebook watchers, the end of chat is just the first cut in what could eventually lead to the end of Facebook as a single, unified app altogether.
Messenger will return the Facebook mobile app thanks to Meta.
Now you can get happy birthday messages on your actual birthday instead of some random day.
Facebook has to implement new rules for Facebook Live because people are literally the worst. Now, if you break the rules you'll receive a ban.
Meh, talk about an overhyped article. Personally I don't see the big deal about Messenger. If you have it installed, you switch to it automatically once you start a chat. I always wondered why they kept this is a separate feature in the first place.
From my point of view there must be a different logic to this action too. People will gradually start using it.
How do I make it so Facebook doesn't auto update? I've searched my phone and can only find auto updates for the whole phone, I thought I could make it so just one app doesn't auto update?
Honestly I use messages a lot, but don't want to be flipping back and forth between two apps. If it auto updates to this crap, I'm just going to use the web browser....
Their app sucks anyways, so its not like they will be optimizing anything. I have no issues with messages, its the feed itself that needs updating. Gotta love seeing two day old posts listed as "latest" posts....
Ugh the messenger app doesn't even work for me half the time. So much for Facebook on my phone I guess.
