Examining MicroSD changes in Android 4.4

AnandTech- While Samsung Galaxy devices had new restrictions on microSD read/write access, it was hard to say whether this was the start of a trend for all Android OEMs as restrictions on microSD were bypassed by most OEMs, as the vast majority of functionality such as moving apps to microSD were ported to Android 4.x builds. The story is more than just about Android 4.4 though, as the change in microSD functionality happened some time in the 3.x releases of Honeycomb.

Microsoft Office free for Android 4.4 and Lollipop tablets

Microsoft Office was free as a preview before for Android users, but you need to jump through some loopholes and sign up in groups in order to get access to the app suite until now. Nice I just got note 4 though. I was going to wait for the A7 but figured that these phones would never come stateside or be completely outdated by the time they do. Guess I was wrong but I love my note 4 anyway. The galaxy alpha should have been no more than about 400ish dollars but Samsung priced it out range and they payed the price for it with the poor sales.
