That's not a bad price at all for a entry 4K TV, seeing how it's an XBR unit and not just a random lowend unit from unknown manufacturer.

$2000 for a device that really can't even be used properly yet still seems a bit expensive to me.

That's just me, though.

Keep in mind, one of the great things about 4K sets is their ability to up convert HD footage to 4K. Your milage varies from the source material but many of the great 4K footages shown off at CES were unconverted 1080p content from Blu-ray and it looked quite fantastic.

Yes, people keep telling me how amazing it is, but from the sets I have seen, it is no more impressive than any 480p content I have seen upconverted to 1080p.

This obsession people have with resolution is getting ridiculous. I would rather all that effort and time go into reducing the cost of OLED, because that's some of the best picture quality I have ever seen on a TV.

An amazing ability that will be there when the screens cost half less and actually got content supporting the native resolution .

People have a right to be early adopters and tech afficionados , but let's call a spade a spade ... it is inefficient for today's stuff and a waste of money for most people . Of course it's their money to burn
