This is to be expected with services like Netflix, HuluPlus, and all their clones - reduced dependance on TV. At least in the US, if you have a Netflix and HuluPlus subscription you basically have ZERO need for cable/satellite television - all your movies and major TV shows are covered and local news stations you can watch "over the air" as it is required to be freely accessible for emergency broadcasts.
Cable companies realize this is a growing issue and are jacking prices for internet access versus cable access (both are going up each year, but internet rates are growing faster than cable rates). I'm sure a similar situation is happening in Europe as well.
