Flappy Bird | Online reaction - what really happened?

USA Today- It's been the talk of the online world this weekend — what really happened to "Flappy Bird"?

The smash app, No. 1 on both the Apple and Android app stores, became more popular than Hanoi-based Dong Nguyen ever imagined, so he announced he would pull it down on Sunday — tweeting "I can't take it anymore." (Apps, Culture, Flappy Bird, Gaming)

Never played it. I don't understand the appeal. Same with candy crush.

I can't say I've ever played this either, but watching it critical mass just to blow up has been rather entertaining.

well i downloaded it and played it to find out what the hype was all about out of curiosity and i must say, the first few times i played it i found it challenging which made me want to improve my score. once i hit my target of 50+ i was done. it felt very monotonous. removed the game shortly after.
