Forbes: My daughter — who is now an adult — has been using Windows PCs for most of her life. She grew up with them, used one in high school and took a Windows laptop with her to college and graduate school.
Recently her old Windows 7 laptop died, so I got her a Windows 8 laptop. It happened to be a Toshiba but it really doesn’t matter which brand. The hardware was fine but she hated the operating system. I guess I'm jaded because I use a convertible, but I love the O.S. I even have steam on it for downtime.
To each their own. If she's having problems with it then it is in her right to get something else that she likes. That is the freedom we have.
I wish her well in her new O.S.
