PS Vita Tv = Cita home console

It has Vitas remote play ability allowing you to stream PS3/PS4 games to a second television or even take it with you to a friends house rather than lugging the whole console there.

When Gaikai is fully up and supporting the Vita you'll be able to stream games to the Vita Tv. As in you're paying $100 for a Vita Tv and now you can play PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PSP and PS Vita titles all on this one device.

Natively it's able to play PS1, PSp and PS Vita titles off of Vita memory cards and Vita cartridges.

It's kind of a big deal...

if it will be a gaikai supported device its an entry type console for first buyers. but for people that invested in a ps4 it feels like a slap in the face that this feature isnt natively supported. atleast they should sell a ps4vita app that allows the streaming of vita to tv..

the vita tv is a step down from the greatness sony was going at.

This is the first step down since the afluence they were having.

They cant honestly tell us that the ps4 can't do what the psvitatv does.

Waste of money and hardware..

its pretty obvious the ps4 can do this. instead of making a new hardware for this feature they should just sell the psvita tv streaming app on the ps store and not dick us around..

"They cant honestly tell us that the ps4 can't do what the psvitatv does"

Why would the cheapest 8th gen home console need to?

Dude, the PS4 is going to be the first device that's fully supported by Gaikai.
That means the PS4 will be able to stream PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PSP and PS Vita titles as well.
It will not play PS2, PSP or PS Vita titles natively though, that would require the effort of emulation that Sony is unwilling to do. Gaikai will let you play EVERY format on your PS4 though.

"PS4 will be the first Gaikai supported device with Vita following at a later date".
