Sony Xperia Z Ultra vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Gizmag - Let's get this out of the way: the Xperia Z Ultra is a ridiculously large phone. Don't believe me? Look at the Note 2 next to the iPhone 5, then look at it again here next to the Ultra. Sony's device is basically a small tablet that happens to have cellular connectivity. (Phones, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Sony Xperia Z Ultra)

Exactly! Sucks that it's just exclusive tmobile and that it has taken this long to release here in the states.

I have Verizon so I'm used to them never getting any good phones in a timely manner.

Even when Xperia Play came out they were telling people Sony phones were not great.....

Plan to switch to T Mobile for this phone though.

Dunno about you, but it used to suck for me. I've lived in several states, here in the u.s and I have had tmobile for about 5 years now.

It did get better for me over time, but it also depends on where you live. I think they are actively expanding coverage too, because last year, at work,I couldn't get internet from inside the building, but others could. Today, I get full bars and LTE.

No contracts and flexibility are also something I like about tmo. Anyway, I don't want to sound like an advertisement. This is coming from someone who wanted to drop tmobile 3 years ago.

Where I live, the calls keep getting drops. I'm thinking about going to Sprint or AT&T.

how does the no contract thing work? Do you still get phones at a decent price or do you have to buy them at "full price"?

It was an honest question. As you can see above I plan to switch to TMobile from Verizon so I'm curious.

i SEE that this phone has some hype to it. ive never been a fan of sony phones from my past experiences.

That's a BIG@$$ phone.

Well it's nice to see Sony trying to improve and innovate where they can, there phones are actually decent, they just don't get the push the iPhone and Galaxy's do.
