ShashGear- Nokia is on a roll with Windows Phone 8 – when it comes to filling out its range, anyway. The Finnish company has spent 2013 slotting a Lumia into almost every possible gap in the market, and now has a third flagship-spec model in the shape of the Nokia Lumia 925.

Oh wow! I hope that means we will have high speed chargers in the future.

iamnsuperman3852d ago

We don't know the lasting impact this would have on a battery. Fast charging is one thing but I would like people to look into developing more efficient ways tech uses the power so batteries last longer. This is interesting to see if we can use lightning as a form of getting electricity but very like usage at a consumer level

Or high speed chargers that take us back in time...

1.21 gigawatts!!!

back_after_this3852d ago

I'm confused. They say it's wireless charging, yet the phone is clearly plugged in to a charging station. O.o

Speed-Racer3851d ago

The phone isn't plugged into anything :S It's being held by a clamp. The electricity that passes near it is what is charging it.

back_after_this3848d ago

So at 0:14, and also toward the end of the video, you can clearly see a cable attached to the phone. Are they uploading something to the phone at the same time as they're doing their experiment? What else would this cable be for?

Speed-Racer3848d ago

Ok I see what you mean but I'm sure they won't blatantly lie about something like that. Maybe the cable was just used to monitor the state of the hardware while it was being juiced up.

I have had my 925 for a month now and love it. The battery is the best ived used on any smart phone and the camera is un matched by any other phone apart from the 1020.

MericS3885d ago

That's awesome. Sounds like a huge recommend. You like the windows phone experience?

I do for me I find Windows Phone the best OS on the market for what I do. The its missing apps thing I have not found to be true as everything I use my phone for there is an app for it. It is missing some games but im not a gamer and it seems most of the games are on the platform now.

As for the existence I have yet to have a issue with the device. The OS is always very fast and slick. Live tiles are great for getting the information you need without going into apps.

I also have xbox music pass and I have to say subscription music is for me the best way to have music as I here a song on the radio hit the search button and the music button and can then download the song. (I know others offer this) but works well with xbox music to as I have a surface and 360 too to sync music with.

The thing im most impressed with though is voice. I ride a bike to work and have a Bluetooth headset and when I get a text message ect it always works well when replying even with loud background noise.
