Hardcore Droid - The selection of available Android tablets has grown impressively in a very short time. In the face of such variety, it can be difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff. In keeping with our tireless dedication to organizing everything worth knowing into lists of 8-12 items, Hardcore Droid is happy to bring you this list of some of the most noteworthy Android tablet devices of the past and present.
First on the docket is the Verizon version of the Galaxy Note 10.1, Samsung's first effort to bring its Note stylus features to a tablet format. The CyanogenMod build server has been spitting out nightly versions of CM13 for the tablet for the last few days. The same is true for the GSM-LTE version of the Galaxy Note II, along with the Verizon and Sprint versions.
In its next major release this summer, Android will finally add a multi-window mode for both tablets and phones. Jide is beating Google to release today with a fully featured version of Remix OS 2.0 for its Ultratablet and the Nexus 9 and 10. ROMs for the two Nexus tablets are available to download now.
There is speculation that Huawei could manufacture the next Nexus 7 tablet which is expected to launch in 2016.
