In 2012, Skullcandy acquired high-end audio systems manufacturer Astro Gaming. Seeing as the Astro A40 is the official headset of Major League Gaming, doing so has given them a head-start on breaking into the gaming community. Skullcandy has since announced a new line of gaming headsets- the SLYR ($80, which I reviewed last month), the PLYR 2 ($130) and the PLYR 1 ($180).

'Sigh' I used to champion skullcandy in 10'...
Why did they cheapen and inflate some of their goods.
I sure miss the Titan (nylon cable) and Hesh headsets.

Skullcandy PLYR2 Wireless Headset Review [Capsule Computers]

"The Skullcandy PLYR2 Wireless Headset is a stereo headset that utilizes 2.4ghz technology to transmit the signal to the headset. It is the middle child from the corporate marriage of Astro Gaming and Skullcandy, the lowest tier being the SLYRs and the top of the line being the 7.1 surround sound wireless PLYR1 headset. The PLYR2 accepts audio input through USB and red and white RCA cables. The headset accepts a mini-USB cable to charge the battery. The SLYR was an extremely pleasant surprise and the PLYR2 comes close in matching the SLYRs quality with a few catches."

Skullcandy make good quality headphones but i will wait for the PLYR1's when they release in March, this is a good review but ill hold on for now.
