Microsoft's Surface Pro Tablet Touches Ground February 9 for $899

Maximum PC: After months of anticipation, Microsoft finally settled on a launch date for its upcoming Surface with Windows 8 Pro (Surface Pro from now on) tablet. It will be available in the U.S. and Canada starting on February 9, 2013, through all Microsoft retail stores, Microsoft's online store, and at Staples and Best Buy locations in the U.S., as well as from a number of un-named locations in Canada. This will get no where. Its way too expensive when you can just buy a notebook for that price.

Surface is gonna last 3 months before MS puts a price drop on that. Both rt and pro are too pricey to make it relavent

why would someone buy this when they can get the razer tablet transforming, gameconsole, laptop, desktop, handheld hybrid thing for like a few 100$ more, which has stock windows 8 on it I think.
