Facebook provides many facilities to the people like instant messaging, photo sharing and also a good way to pass a time and to remain touch with friends but as this is social networking website so our colleges/universities even offices are not happy to see us surfing at time of studies or may be due to some other reason Facebook is blocked on network by admin. This actually is a pretty dumb method since it redirects back to the text URL.

It just bypasses DNS on the way out, any network admin who doesn't have that hole covered should be fired in all honesty as the URL being retrieved will be visible on the way back in.

Yup, exactly. When I first started working, I tried all these tricks but they've all been covered to the T. And Facebook at work? Really? Don't people have self control. I could understand if they were being used for work related purposed (i.e. social media promotion, etc.) but if firms see it as a problem, I don't see why users can't have a little self control for just a few hours of the day. It's gonna be there when you come home.
