Genetically Engineered Stem Cells A Potential Cure For AIDS

ETECHMAG: Scientists at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research believe that their genetically engineered stem cells are going to be a ‘potential cure for AIDS’. Their treatment prevents the onset of AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome) caused by HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection. This is a cure for AIDS, not for the HIV infection itself. And to think religions like the catholic church are against stem cells... and condoms... So much about caring for humanity...

Only a few years back stem cells were shot down as being unethical by the church.

Well, it would be stupid to stop stem cell research now. There are new and better techniques which don't require a fetus to obtain stem cells. The stem cells used in this research are taken from the individual's body.

+1 bubble for posting intelligent response and not feeding the troll.

Was it not the case, regardless of the cells origins. The church had a hard line with that kind of research.

My first thought exactly, it's so repugnant... these people who claim to care and then take actions against those things which might help the most.

Disgusting

You just had to bring that up didn't you. Killing fetuses is no longer necessary to produce stem cells so this issue now EXTINCT..now if only morons like you would do the same.
