Pocket-lint: Archos announced the GamePad way back in August 2012, but has now shown off a working model at CES in Las Vegas. Pocket-lint was on hand to have a play.
Taking on the PS Vita and the Nintendo 3DS, the GamePad is reminiscent of the ill-fated Xperia Play, aka the PlayStation phone, and is basically a 7-inch tablet with dedicated games controls and buttons either side of the screen.

Geek-Grotto talked to Craig TerBlanche from Archos about the Archos Gamepad, a 7" Android Table running JellyBean and featuring actual buttons for gameplay at CES. The best part is Archos' Game Mapping tool that allows you to map your touchscreen controls to the buttons on the tablet.
HotHardware: Archos on Thursday announced the retail availability of its new GamePad device, or the "first true Android games console," as the company pitches it. The Android-powered GamePad is a new type of tablet that combines physical gaming button controls and Archos' patented mapping tool with a full Android tablet experience built around Jelly Bean (Android 4.1). It features full access to Google Play and Google Mobile Services.
