Engadget - This year at CES -- as always -- there's been waves and waves of new technology. Not everything of interest is always white hot, though. We're talking about the above pair of headphones -- the Orpheus HE90 from Sennheiser. Those in the know will be somewhat familiar with these headphones, as they made their initial debut in 1991. Yeah, 1991.
After some 25 years of recuperation, the audiophile division at Sennheiser has finally revamped and reissued its famous limited-edition Orpheus headphones. Wired's Jeremy White reveals what he thinks of them.

These are an update to a previous design, so there's probably knock offs of those already out and about somewhere(!)
At least the sound quality is of an apparently very high quality, it would suck if after all that it was average.
You'd have to have lost your marbles to pay that much for a pair of headphones. I'm pretty sure it's made of marble, so as to have it's owner feel as if they hadn't lost them first place.
Sennheiser as a brand really does make a lot of remarkable/progressive headphones, but believe this will only be snapped up for being a collectors' piece.
