With billion-dollar settlement Toyota tries to leave recalls behind

The Christian Science Monitor-Toyota Motor Corp. settled for a record breaking billion-dollar amount, resolving hundreds of lawsuits claiming vehicles depreciated after the company issued recalls related to faulty acceleration.
