Getting a Kindle Fire HD for the kid this xmas since its easy for grandmas to buy stuff for her, and it has the best built in parental controls.

I love my Nexus, wouldn't trade it for anything. Well, maybe Nexus 7.2!

Kinda salty they revamped it with 3G, makes me angry for being an early adopter
but im still happy with my little guy. clocked at least 150 hours on it so far.

It's an all right product, but the screen really needs an upgrade and the price is borderline criminal for what you get. I exchanged mine for a full-sized ipad after a couple of weeks.

For right now, I'd say the Nexus 7 is easily the best bet for 7 inchers. I love that thing.

Bought a kindle fire hd 7"
I converted dvds and some blurays using Pavtube Blu-ray
converter and the kindle fire hd could not run the movies I'm talking lag city, I thought this thing could handle dvd's easy, i'm returning it tomorrow..

Where I live REAL Baller's have a Nexus 7. It's ok if your a girl, and you have a Kindle Fire HD. Kids under 18 show there ipad mini, but anyone above that age 18-27 hide theirs. LOL. I know sounds weird, but it's true.
