Maximum PC: "A new Firefox beta for Windows, Mac, and Linux is now available for download, Mozilla announced on Monday. Scheduled to hit the stable release channel in the week of January 6, 2013 as Firefox 18, this beta includes, among a host of other things, a brand new JavaScript JIT compiler."
And, for once, some of what it can do looks genuinely useful.
The blog post reads, “We’re introducing a new WhatsApp app for Windows that loads faster and is built with an interface similar to the app's mobile version.”
Since the middle of February, customers of AMD graphics cards have been reporting situations in which Windows installations were entirely bricked after installing new drivers.
Hope this new java script engine can keep up with Chrome. Google needs competition.
Sounds promising, though I've currently begun experimenting with Waterfox (after Mozilla announced it was dropping 64-bit Firefox support).
Mozilla slow it down just a little... Please!
