Ubuntu Vibes: In a presentation at Ubuntu Developer Summit currently going on in Denmark, Drew Bliss from Valve said that Linux is becoming more viable platform as an alternative to Windows 8. Windows 8 ships with its own app store and it is moving away from an open platform model.
With all the anti microsoft reteric from valve lately, even though its their main market, it sounds like they want to abandon microsoft all together.
I think about the kids who use phones more than PCs, they have never installed, configure etc... any app, they will grow up thinking it is the norm, and company have the right to lock their OS for protection from viruses or whatever lie they will come up with.
I might be wrong, but nothing wrong can come from this.
Linux needs more users to became a true alternative to Microsoft and Apple to the average consumer .
