Dell Releases New S Series Monitors With Edge-To-Edge Glass for Eyefinity and Surround Setups

Maximum PC: Dell has always been among the best when it comes to quality monitors at a reasonable price, and it appears as though they are looking to carry on the tradition with five brand new S Series models. The new display’s range from 27-inches with edge-to-edge glass, all the way down 21.5-inch panels for those on the hunt for the best price. Each one is capable of 1080p, but as one would expect, connectivity and quality varies considerably based on the price. (PC, PC hardware)

Pretty sleek, but just 1080p on the 27 incher? Bummer.

Sadly 1080p has become the norm. :/

I want one................what....... .1080p.

Dell has to know that the pc crowd that is actually interested in these high end monitors are smarter than that. Well I guess at that resolution they are not high end. They look nice though.

I really like Dell monitors not only because they are good but their premium line of monitors come with a great warranty. Unfortunately while edge to edge glass looks nice in general what eyefinity/surrond users want is a barely there bezel. This article even mentions the higher end has less bezel but its still looking huge. Modern high end TVs are doing it now but its soon coming to monitors...but slowly i guess, which is really sad because it seems like it would be much harder to do 47"+ TVs then start pumping out 23-27" monitors.

But theres hope, Check this out...

EDIT: ok i started looking into these LG monitors since i wondered what ever happened and they blatantly lied! ... check this guys video

lol! sad
